The BCRC-Caribbean, in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (BOKU) located in Vienna, Austria, is currently executing a project titled, ‘Management of E-Waste in Guyana, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago’. This project will analyse trends in e-waste generation and current e-waste management practices and aims to develop a feasible sub-regional solution to improve the management of e-waste for the Caribbean.
The BCRC-Caribbean is seeking to engage a suitably qualified individual to provide services as Environmental Economist. The Environmental Economist will be required to engage with key national stakeholders, the other project consultants, and National Working Groups of the three (3) project countries to develop an assessment report on the current economic aspects related to e-waste management in the project countries and a recommendations report on mechanisms for e-waste management, with consideration to the development of a sub-regional e-waste management solution.
