The BCRC-Caribbean, in collaboration with the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Planning and Development, seeks to recruit a Public /Environmental Health Specialist, for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Assistance project to Trinidad and Tobago on Chemicals and Waste Management for Covid-19 Recovery Response. The overarching objective of the project is to address areas of concern within the existing biomedical waste management system due to the COVID 19 pandemic in Trinidad and Tobago, to develop a future contingency planning.
A Public /Environmental Health Specialist is required for the development and analysis of a KAP survey to obtain insights on the general knowledge and practices as it relates to biomedical waste management in the country, as well as to provide an assessment of the current status of the biomedical waste management system in Trinidad and Tobago, in relation to best practices, and the necessary changes required to close the gaps.
