The Environmental Policy and Planning Division (EPPD) of the Ministry of Planning and Development in collaboration with the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT), Point Lisas Campus is commemorating World Environment Day (WED) 2016 by hosting an Informational Expo of Local Environmental Initiatives and Products. This expo, will be held at the UNIVERSITY OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, POINT LISAS CAMPUS on JUNE 2ND AND 3RD, 2016 from 9:00 AM TO 4:30 PM.

The day is designed to highlight and educate the attendees on initiatives and services that are being undertaken and offered by the Ministry and local organisations, which contribute to environmental conservation and sustainable development.This year’s expo will feature many participants including the Basel Convention Regional Centre for the Caribbean.
Also being highlighted at the Expo will be our local WED Talks. The Ministry of Planning and Development’s own take on the popular TED Talks. Our WED Talks feature both local and international Environmentalists who briefly discuss issues of interest and concern to them, along with reasons that we should GO WILD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT!

Each day of the Expo will also include tours of the campus’ renewable energy initiatives, such as their solar house, wind turbines and an electric bus.

ADMISSION TO THE EXPO IS FREE! ALL VISITORS ARE WELCOMED!
