The BCRC-Caribbean, in its capacity as project executing agency, now invites bids for the project “Development of Minamata Initial Assessments in the Caribbean (BELIZE)” for the following positions:

  1. National Project Coordinator:

In close coordination with the Project Steering Committee, the National Working Group, the BCRC-Caribbean, and an international consultant, the National Project Coordinator (NPC) will assist in the implementation of project activities, in particular, with respect to the on-the-ground daily activities involved in the collection and input of data into the national mercury inventory.

2. Legal Consultant/Firm: ASSESSMENT OF THE POLICY, LEGISLATIVE AND INSTITUTIONAL FRAMEWORK RELATED TO MERCURY MANAGEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MINAMATA CONVENTION.

The BCRC-Caribbean is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced consultant(s) or consulting firm to provide key legal services. These services would lead to a review of the existing legislation as it pertains to waste and chemicals management, as well as an assessment of how the existing legislation relates to implementing the obligations of the Minamata Convention on mercury in Belize.

3. Technical Consultancy: MINAMATA INITIAL ASSESSMENT INVENTORY, TRAINING, ASSESSMENT AND REPORT

The BCRC-Caribbean is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced consultant(s) or consulting firm to provide the services that would coordinate and supervise the national mercury inventory process developed for Belize and facilitate the completion of the requisite MIA reports.
